products are designed to stabilize the bore by improving
filtration control in porous zones, improve suspension of
the drilling fluid to maximize hole cleaning, provide
lubrication, and aid in inhibiting troublesome clay zones.
MAX BORE HDD one-sack boring system is the
choice for smaller rig HDD applications. It provides high
but fragile gel strengths for excellent cuttings suspension,
filtration control and wellbore stability.
MAX GEL additive is a 220-barrel high
yield bentonite used in larger diameter HDD applications.
Also available are a full line of
supplemental additives to fine-tune the performance of the
MAX BORE HDD or MAX GEL systems. The POLY-PLUS family of
polymers are specially designed to improve the inhibitive
properties of the base fluid when drilling in active or
sticky clays. The readily dispersible PLATINUM PAC polymers
improve the filtration control properties of the base clay
systems. DUO-VIS, SUPER-VIS and DUO-TEC additives enhance
the base fluid’s suspension properties.
The unique DRILPLEX HDD system is designed
to drill the most troublesome cobble zones and
unconsolidated sands. The filtration control properties of
the DRILPLEX system can be enhanced with additions of FLO-PLEX
polymer.
